I remember spending days just rummaging through bad-quality YouTube videos split into three parts so I could see what happened next without waiting for the dub to catch up. Nowadays, the entire series, including Naruto Shippuden (2007), is readily available on streaming platforms – but the spirit of scouring the Internet for more content never left me. That brings us to this list, where I’ll share some of my latest finds. These mods are full of kick-ass shinobi action, so any Naruto fan hooked on modding GTA should find something entertaining in here.
1. Naruto Six-Path Sage Mode T-Shirt for Franklin
Check Out This Mod If you’re going to wear anime merch around your criminal compadres in Los Santos, it better be something bad-ass. Naruto’s most bad-ass transformation is the Six-Path Sage mode, acquired from the legendary Sage of Six Paths said to have created shinobi culture as we know it. In this mode, Naruto lights up, becoming a black-and-gold torch of near-infinite chakra and gaining control over the Truth-Seeking Balls floating around him. This mod was born when author Tecnogos realized how good this looked on a red t-shirt. I’d wear this in real life if given a chance.
2. Naruto Uzumaki Skin
Check Out This Mod Instead of wearing Naruto on your torso, why don’t you go a step further? Thanks to this mod by TheFuumaSage, you can give yourself an extreme makeover from middle-aged Los Santos crook to the Leaf Village’s most famous ninja. This skin mimics the anime graphic style seen in licensed Naruto games like Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (2016). Naruto looks oddly at home with an assault rifle.
3. Adult Naruto Skin
Check Out This Mod If you’re worried about underage kids handling firearms, the Adult Naruto skin is a must-try. This skin is based on Naruto’s look in the controversial sequel, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations (2017). It’s a mature look more appropriate for a Hokage than the classic orange jumpsuit. Overall, he just looks a lot more ghetto.
4. Akatsuki Gear for MP Male
Check Out This Mod This pack includes three modernized Akatsuki outfits that look more or less realistic for a modern gang with a lot of creativity. It’ll make it extremely easy for the police to identify you on the streets after committing a crime, but you’ll look fantastic on the broadcast of the ensuing high-speed chase. If these don’t convince you at first glance, try one on and hop on a bike. You’ll look fire!
5. Kakashi Hatake (Sharingan)
Check Out This Mod Kakashi Hatake is one of the Naruto fandom’s most beloved characters – and one of the few surviving mentors after the Fourth Great Ninja War. Since the beginning, Kakashi has been a mysterious character. Even after his backstory was revealed, including the tragic origin of his Sharingan, he remains enigmatic. When not preoccupied with protecting the Leaf Village, Kakashi likes to spend his time relaxing with one of Jiraiya’s lecherous books. There’s a wide array of risqué reading material in the modern non-ninja world, so he’ll feel right at home in Los Santos.
6. Hinata Hyuga V
Check Out This Mod If you want a player skin you can look at the way Kakashi looks at his novels, try Hinata Hyuga. This porcelain-skinned ninja stole everyone’s hearts since her first appearance in the original Naruto anime. Her short hair, timid personality, and bad-ass Byakugan made her too appealing for anyone to resist. For Naruto Shippuden, Masashi Kishimoto gave Hinata a bit of a makeover. With long hair and more confidence in her abilities, Hinata became as cool as she was cute – and she’s really, really cute. This mod depicts her in one of her lesser-known outfits – a light and convenient shorts-and-top combo seen in The Last: Naruto the Movie (2014).
7. Itachi Uchiha
Check Out This Mod Itachi Uchiha is a character I know would thrive easily in Los Santos. Say what you will about his somewhat extreme methods and lack of emotional communication abilities, but deception is the only thing Itachi does better than killing. It’s fair to say that nobody could see through Itachi for most of his life. Not his friends, enemies, or companions in Akatsuki: he had everyone fooled when he needed to. Hopefully, he’ll fool the LSPD just as easily. If not, he can resort to his other exceptional skill: murder.
8. Jump Force Naruto
Check Out This Mod We began this list by looking at a Naruto skin for GTA 5 – but it wasn’t the only one, nor the best. Whereas the previous Naruto skin has an anime-like visual style taken from the Ultimate Ninja fighting games, this one takes a more realistic, textured approach matching Jump Force (2019). While I’d usually pick the flat anime style any day, this skin’s more detailed and lifelike textures perfectly match Grand Theft Auto 5’s realistic graphics.
9. Jump Force Rikudou Sennin Naruto
Check Out This Mod Also from Jump Force comes Naruto in his awakened Six-Path Sage mode. This powered-up Super Saiyan-like state is the result of combining Naruto’s standard Sage Mode with the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode and the influence of the Sage of Six Paths. In this state, Naruto is basically in God Mode. He can take full-powered jutsu like Sasuke’s Chidori to the stomach and not feel a thing – and has the power to level cities if he puts his mind to it. More importantly, he looks incredibly bad-ass. This design is beautiful, and you’ll have a lot of fun wreaking havoc around Los Santos as this super-powered fox boy.
10. Naruto Script
Check Out This Mod What good is looking like a ninja if you can’t use ninjutsu, summon mystical beasts, or just beat up bad guys at super-sonic speeds? The Naruto Script by SilkTeam makes Grand Theft Auto 5 more shinobi-friendly by introducing several ninjutsu, taijutsu, and other ninja techniques to the game. These new skills include the Chidori, the Kirin, several forms of Susanoo, and all kinds of teleportation. The list just goes on and on! Of course, it also lets you do the memetastic but kick-ass “Naruto run.” With AI enemies you can summon to duke it out with you or against you and many other exciting features, the Naruto Script has the potential to turn your game into a completely new experience.
